Deceased Estates

Our firm specialises in in the administration of deceased estates. This is the process to report the estate of a person that passed away, administer and take control of all the assets in the estate and then finally distributing the assets to the beneficiaries in terms of the will or The Intestate  Succession Act 81 of 1987.

 

We will liaise with the family or interested person at the appropriate time when a person passed away. We will complete all reporting documents and the report the estate to the relevant Master of  the High Court to obtain the letters of Executorship.

 

Once the executor has  been appointed we will comply with the required formalities in terms of the Act.

All funds  will be collected  and all creditors will be advised of the status of the Estate.

At the appropriate time we will prepare the First and Final Liquidation and Distribution Account for approval by the Master of the High Court.

Once the account is approved and we have complied with all the formalities we will finalise the estate and transfer the immovable property if applicable.
